Yesterday, I spent the day in Atlanta. I think I spent most of my time in my car stuck on 316, 85, or 75. I would like to thank the creators of the iPod once again for making my trip a bit more bearable. I am almost halfway done listening to Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell: A Novel and I also listened to an audio documentary about the new series of doctor who.
In the morning, I went to an independent school in the ATL to learn about a group purchase using the Microsoft School Agreement. It was useful but extremely boring.
I was done around noon and decided to do some fun things.
I needed gas and the only station that I saw had full service so I did that. I felt spoiled and lazy. The guy was checking the tires, checking the oil, washing the windows, and pumping the gas while I just sat there. But, I did feel better about sitting in traffic for hours knowing I was all checked out.
I was going to try to see :stephanie: who was in Atlanta but that didn’t work out. Instead I went to the Golden Age of Comics exhibit at the Bremen Museum (thank Google Maps for providing most excellent directions).
It was pretty cool to the comic geek in me. I am a big fan of the Justice Society of America so I liked seeing the All-Star stuff.
When I was getting back on 85, I realized I was right next to the Tara Theater so I thought I would stop and see if there were any movies I wanted to see (that will never make it to Athens). The only one starting then was inside deep throat. I wouldn’t have minded the movie, but I would have been the creepy guy going to see a documetary about a porn movie at 2:00 on Wednesday afternoon.
Instead, I went to Fry’s Electronics and looked at all the geeky things that no one else would want to look at with me. The place is HUGE. I actually had to stop and leave because I got tired of all the stuff.
Came home. Took a nap. Courtney and I had dinner at the Globe and then we went back to my house and watched the 2nd episode of the new Office show. It was MUCH funnier to me than the first one. Kate came over and we watched the first half of the Amazing Race from this week.
