We met Roger and Kirsten at the Science Fiction Museum and toured around there for a bit. It was pretty cool but as Tessa pointed out, it might have been better for us to go by ourselves (or me by myself I think she would prefer) because there is a lot of stuff to read and look at. It is always hard to gauge your speed through a place like that when you are with people you don’t know well. I saw Twiki so I was pretty happy.
After this we had thai food for lunch where I learned that Roger and Kirsten used to be dishwashers and janitors in Antarctica. Good to know there are crappy minimum wage jobs on every continent. But the cost of living there is zero, so I guess it’s a good deal.
We went to the Ballars Farmer’s Market and then per chance came across the Archie McPhee store which made me very happy. If you ever need a gift for anyone, this is the place to shop.
We continued walking down to the Ballard Locks and watched the salmon swim and boats float. We met up with Jeff and came home and I failed yet again to get any computer but my own on Lisa’s wireless. Oh well, I’m happy.
For dinner we all ate at Matador and then came home and everybody fell asleep.
Today is Pike Place and Deception Pass.
fun, fun, fun, but wouldn’t being a dishwasher in Antarctica be hard.
Sounds like you’re having a great time! Keep up the good reporting… xoxo
LOVES me some Archie McPhee!
Be sure to ask Chip his Seattle nickname.
