I was ordering breakfast at Zim’s. Somebody’s cell phone started ringing with an MP3 clip of “Sweet Home Alabama”. MORE than one person looked down to check their phone.
Anyhoo. Happy it is the weekend.
Walked in the Bot Gardens after work. I like calling them Bot Gardens instead of BOTanical Gardens because it sounds like a place full of little robots. SO MUCH COOLER THAN NATURE.
Later, I went out downtown for what seems like the first time in a while. I had dinner with Dot and then we met up with Veronica and others at Room 13 for a drink. Throughout the evening, it was confirmed that Athens is indeed the size of small pea. I think we work on a standard 2-degrees of seperation at the MAXIMUM many times.
I came home, got my car (Dot’s hybrid TOTALLY freaked me out at stop lights because it is completely silent), and then went back downtown to re-meet up with Veronica and then with Scrappy, Leanna, and Natalie. Natalie can speak proper geek* unlike some other friends of mine who seem to hear buzzing in their ears when this occurs.
Home and asleep by 12:00. Cleaning today. Lots of cleaning. Of the soul. Of the mind. But mainly of the bedroom and the clothes.
There shall be much washing done this day.
*not geeky like change the 2px border on the #sidebar and make the float be right but the geeky that involves Emma Frost and X-Men and Peter Wingfield from “Highlander”. I enjoy all teh geeky, though.

BTW–I used a sentence or two from this entry in my random signature file thingy for email. You’re dang funny!
