I stayed up WAY too late learning the new Movable Type 4 template system. I sort of think I understand it now, or rather, I can make things I want to show up in the proper places on the page. Media Manager seems to do what I want for my 2008 Media Consumption. I am not keeping track of TV and I have not decided how I am treating comics, but the sidebar of my blog will have a running tally of movies, books, and new-to-me music.
Scrappy and I are both on the “South Bitch” diet (it’s just like “South Beach” but you get to complain more). I will not bore you with the details of this except for every once in a while. As I type this, there are 8 months and 9 days until that whole “wedding” thing. So, if you have any good recipes which are tasty but don’t have lots of fat and carbs (or the good stuff, as I think of it) please send them our way. FYI: Wendy’s Chili is totally South Beach Phase 1 for you omnivores out there.
And remember bloggers, think before you post. That way, I won’t have to bring my computer with me to restaurants to help delete drunken twitters from the bars the night before.

LOL at the re-naming of the diet. Maybe one place to look it at the Cooking Light website. Here’s the link to get to their Quick & Easy section which looks like it should have plenty o’ things that are without the “good stuff.”

I, too, am trying to do the weight loss thing, so I share the sense of woe. I’m hoping that getting back to using Cooking Light as my main source of meal-planning will help…we’ll see…
That warning video might have the opposite effect than intended. Can’t you see teen girls excited about the notoriety and then posting more scandalous things in hope of getting attention, being recognized everywhere, even for embarrassing things? It would make them more like Spears and Lohan and Hilton, all fine and omnipresent role models. Although that movie theater guy is pretty effectively creepy.
Good luck with the diet. I too am trying to lose holiday weight, but am not as organized about it. I am also trying to eat very, very cheaply. It is not fun. I second Hannah’s suggestion–I love my Cooking Light cookbook.
