Do you understand how *good* coca-cola is? It might be better than Budwine.
Guess what I got to do today???? Install DOS!!! I love my job.
The picture of my radio kids turned out pretty well. Ellis’ hair is in her face and Shae is kind of covered by the microphone but overall it is a good pic. I’ll post it as soon as Vicky is done photoshopping out some reflections and stuff. I am cleaning up my office today. God, I have a bunch of crap in here. I need a webcam so y’all can see the excitement that is the chipcube. Only a few have seen it and lived to tell.
I am being quiet. I hear people who I don’t want to talk to.
I got the go ahead from Lee for Carter and Spencer to raise money with the love match program. Is this a bad idea? I’m sure it is.
I can’t believe it isn’t about 5 hours later than it is.
I need new shoes.
weird very media oriented dreams. sadly, I can not remember them now. plan for today: same as every other day.
I need to be more interesting on here.
After school, I talked to Shae, Daneea, and Lauren in the station for a little while and caught up on Shae’s life (the unblogged version). Went to a little Cisco class meeting and then rushed home to meet Kate and Stephie for dinner at Rocky’s. Stephanie is worried about what to do with her journals when she moves away. The soluiton is a locked box that involves two keys or a key and a combonation. I will keep the journals in the box with me. Stephie will know the combonation and Courtney will have the key in Arkansas. Sounds like a plan to me.
Kate filled us in a bit on the trip with some unblogged stuff. We’ll see if it makes it on the web or not.
I need to make the X-Files tape for Nerd Ellis. 🙂
blogs today from jane and susan! gads, what is the world coming to???
remember last week when I was working on that dang Windows 3.11 machine! Still working on it. The irony is that in a few weeks it is destined to be upgraded to 98 but the network is not ready for it. So I have wasted 1/8 of my work week thus far to keep a machine going for three weeks. doesn’t seem right somehow. And we are still having some proxy trouble.
i have more things to say but Erik the Intern is here so I better go.
Dinner with Steph and Kate tonight.
I just got a 91 on my Chapter Four test. I think I am getting dumber. That and the test was on electricity and I have never been good in science. My favorite quote from ellis today (for some reason) is “I didn’t do any homework this weekend, with the exeption of the beautifull bull pinata. If anyone gets mad I can just tell them I have a dead grandmother. And to go screw themselves.” That kid is gonna win the contest for being cynical before its all over.
Kate called. The girls are back. Wendy picked up a few guys in NoLa but other than that they are no worse for wear.
Kate wants to move to New Orleans. I really do also. The list of cities that I would like to live in are:
1. Athens, GA (natch!)
2. San Francisco, CA
3. New Orleans, LA
4. Where the Jetson’s lived
What is holding me back from moving to one of these places? I don’t know. I just really love the hell out of Athens is the major thing. I have a cool house, a job that although annoying at times still lets me play with computers and run a radio station staffed by cool teens, my family and a buttload of friends are other considerations. But at the same time, it would be cool to live somewhere else for a while.
Bonnie says I should move to L.A. Trevor wants me in SF and Stephie will be there too. If Kate moved to New Orleans, I might have to consider going with her. I could easily get a job in a school down there or doing freelance computer networking and support. But, I have made the mental commitment to stay where I am for at least a few more years to see the laptop program get off and going at AA.
Oh well. It’s late and I still don’t feel good. Maybe I should go to bed. I think I will.
i feel sick.
i just got in from eating with the family and jeff at the normaltown cafe. i spent the day with susan and amy. we ate at red lobster and then i made ice cream which was not very good. amy tripped over the cord on the laptop and it screwed up the PCMCIA card. that’s not such a tragedy because I should be getting a wireless network card at school soon and I can figure something out at home for the time being. she might lend me hers. i would like to get a wireless network at home going but I don’t know how practical that is. I should look into it.
nothing on the schedule for tonight.
wish I didn’t feel sick.
M2 has finally gotten to the D’s. There is a video called “Dancing in the Shadows” by After The Fire. Weren’t they the band that did the english version of Der Kommissar? Talk about a one hit wonder. Why did they even bother making this video? It’s MLK day and I think for the first time at Athens Academy we actually have the day OFF! Not some weird teacher-work-day. I called Susan but Austine says she is still asleep.
Back in high school we always had fun on MLK day. One year we had this huge picnic at the Botanical Gardens. I have pictures of Scott Morrison wearing that damn “I need a Zero Room”shirt which is about the dorkiest thing that I ever saw but I was incredibly jealous if it at the same time. If you don’t get it, I can’t possibly explain it. It’s really doctor who geeky. Shalimar’s “Dancing in the Sheets” is on.
I noticed that ellis’ blog is actually listed in the list of blogs on blogger. they like her the best.
i need to get the house clean. wendy kate jane could be getting back any day now! zoinks!
Took another test. 94. The question is: Will I remember all this info later. The answer is probably not. Amy called and asked if I could still record things to video tape. I had to sit there and think about it for a minute. I attempted to draw a little topology of my entertainment center a few weeks ago. I gave up on that and I also gave up on trying to teach Kate how to use it. I think Maureen was impressed by the whole interactive chip’s house when we watched Spice World in black and white, in French, with english subtitles. It makes it such a far superior film.
I think I start too many sentences with I.
No one is posting on my message boards.
Still in the C’s on MTV2. TLC’s “Creep”.
