we got so much stuff done in the green room! Kate is still pushing the velcro idea trying to convince me that chicks would dig it. I just don’t see that one happening. I found SOOO much cool stuff in that room that I need to get digital. I found the 1991 answering machine tape from when Susan, Courtney, and Shanna lived together. I found the DAT of the Beef People and a letter from Dama confessing her eternal love and asking me to marry her. I as *so* gonna hold her to that one someday.
I took Wendy and Katie to Normaltown Cafe for helping me in the room. Today’s photo is here. Yesterday’s is here.
OK. I gotta get back in there to do some more before I sleep.
Jeez…. i just got a phone call from home. Wendy needs me home now. She has already cleaned the bathroom and has made me a shopping list of items I have to buy to get the green room project going. She is quite a force to be reckoned with. She has a redheaded australian friend coming to town soon. Tee hee.
Wendy seems to be blogging away. We also have listings from Courtney (kind of) and Stephanie has started the journal of her move from the classic city of Athens, GA to the home of chiplist-west San Francisco. I am at work but thought I would just check out the Y2Kblog scene. I want to get a script up and going that checks the pages for updates so we’ll know when something is new. I know that Frontier and Manilla will do all that but since I don’t run either one of those, we’ll do it some other way. I also need some major design work on the front end.
The first day back in the Y2K has not been that bad. Our mail server keeps logs that think it is Year 100 (because it counts up from 1900) but we are upgrading all that in six months so we will live in 100 AD for a little while. Or is it 20,100? Either one is kind of cool. I was supposed to meet Cash at Best Buys at 2:30 while I was picking up some cables for work but he wasn’t there so I took off.
Madeline stopped by the chipcube after school to chat about Spartan Radio. She and Nelle had a long meeting this weekend about it. I am having a staff meeting tomorrow so we can hopefully get it a bit more organized for the second half of the year. I’ll put more info in later about Spartan Radio, the coolest station in the world!
Shae got braces.
My dear sweet best friend Wendy is in my kitchen right now helping the new Y2K-compliant chip get organized. This is the way it worked back when we lived together; she would make me stand in front of the sink and would not let me leave until all the dishes were done. Why don’t you girls understand this is what you have to do with me?
A lot of journals have come online tonight. I’m pretty excited about how this will all be working in a month or so.
We have decided to fix up the green room. As of now, it is a complete mess. There is a pic here. I fixed dinner for Kate and Wendy and we are discussing plans for the future of the room. It is going to be a guest room, fer sure. The question is, what shall the theme of the room be? The leading ideas are:
1. Croquet
2. ALF
3. The Velco Room
Earlier today, Kate and I saw The Bone Collector with my Mommy and got a cool portrait made art the Mall.
I have changed the main project page to allow anyone to post. That should be amusing.
i created journal accounts last night for several people. We should see them start to pop up fairly soon.
Susan and I are watching Mallrats. There are some awesome quotes in this flick including “There’s a concept I can’t get enough of, a man and his monkey”.
I had dinner at the grandfolks with mom, my sis lori, and her friend jeff. All in all, a pretty OK New Year’s Day. Last year was spent hungover and sleeping on the couch watching Armageddon.
