Greetings and Salutations. This is

Greetings and Salutations. This is Chip and this is my journal of the Year 2000, or the Y2K as the kiddies like to call it. Every year I decide to keep a journal and I never really get past the first 5 days. This year, I decided to try something different.
I contacted a group of my friends, family, and students and asked them if they would keep a journal with me. Several agreed that this would be something fun to try. Hopefully, you are seeing the fruit of this effort right now.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Chip, I am 29 years old, I live in a lovely town called Athens, GA, I am Technology Coordinator at Athens Academy, I am publisher of athenstown.com. I get bored easily. I like computers, television, redheads, and comic books.

Hey! This is Chip. I

Hey!

This is Chip. I had an appt. last week and Doc said that I could take the cast off and walk as I felt like it. So, I have been testing out the leg and things seem to be working fairly well.

I’m gonna stop updating here but check out my real site.

Well, I am going back

Well, I am going back to work today. But only for a limited time. The doc says that I have another MONTH of wearing the cast and no driving. That really sucks. So, I guess this page will continue on for the time being although it will be updated much less often.

I have started building a weblog at pitas.com.

The new and improved Spartan Radio is meeting today for the first time. Over the next month or so, we are switching to FM and hopefully figuring out the best way to broadcast over the net. Stay tuned.

hey there…

sorry about the lack of updates…. I’ll add more soon….

This week has been pretty OK other than the vendetta that the elements have against my family. I told y’all about the lightning strike last week. Well, this week, Buddy’s barn/shed got struck and burned down. It got Dad’s car (the periwinkle beatle), a tractor, an antique bed, tools, freeezers, etc.

I wonder what will happen next??

The kids are back at school and the emails and IM’s are coming in. I think I should spend all my time at home,. it makes work a lot better.

I designed a web page for a new cookbook the other day. Y’all buy one.

What else is going on?

Nothing I guess. Here are some new pics.

We just had a lightning

We just had a lightning hit. It blew out several windows and might have knocked out my linux box. I’m running some tests right now. I’m dialed in via modem, in case you wondered.

Yesterday afternoon was chock full o fun and excitement. But before I forget, I want to say here that I had a dream last night that Susan and I were handcuffed together (i saw a Newsradio with handcuffs before bed) but before the dream was over, she had turned into Timmy the living doll from Passions. It was weird.

So, yesterday, Sara and Kate and I took a little drive around town to let me remember the outside world. Actually, this mainly happened because we could not find a parking place downtown. We sent Kate upstairs to Wuxtry to get my comics from Devlin and then it was off to the Taco Stand. As Tstand experiences go, it wasn’t all that hot, but as my first one in a while, it was pretty good.

Today, I have to get over to Grady Ave to let Maid Teams in to clean up my new apt. They have given me a 10:30 to 1:00 window. That makes it easy on the cripple boy.

So, that is why I am not on the cam if you are looking.

I am back from my big day out., We went to Grady, the Country Club for lunch (thnx grandfolks, Milton says hey), back to Grady where the maids had given up but still done a heck of a lot, then to school, ehich had NO power due to the fact that someone had plugged a live wire into the neutral wire, then to GC Computing. So, my leg is pretty large and swollen now. Jinxies!

Susan is coming over for supper, I got mad at Kate for leaving stuff at Grady but I have since forgiven her. Shejust doesn’t know it yet.
