Chip's Spynotebook

I have had complaints about my website from my mother. She says that Chancey does not smell like a dog. He did to me. But maybe that was just the drugs I am on. Susan and Wade made it back from their trip without killing one another. Susan will be coming over later in the day and I think we are going to the movies.

Well, not many updates today. Maybe I will leave this page up for tomorrow also. I went to see Bowfinger with Susan today.It was a little difficult getting around today so I don’t want to do it again soon. The movie was very funny actually. I took a nap in the early evening and therefore I am up late now. I have been watching a marathon of The League of Gentlemen on BBC America which is described as Monty Python meets Twin Peaks. Very strange show.

Well, as of about 2 or 3 this afternoon, it will be two weeks since I fell off the ladder breaking my right leg. I always thought it would be amusing to stay in bed for two weeks. Well, I can tell you, it’s not. At this point, I figure I have at least 2 to 3 more weeks before I can put any weight on it depending what the doc says. I could probably go places at this point but whenever I move it around, it starts to hurt and i get grumpy. And as y’all know, a grumpy chip is a no fun chip.

As of right now, I think I am going to skip the party tonight and maybe attempt to go out within the city limits of Athens for a little while. Maybe a trip to the Manhattan is called for. We shall see.

I just finished eating lunch. Sara and I are watching “Forgive and Forget”. I watched an mpeg of Blair Witch today. It was mildly scary but not as much as everybody said.It was pretty freaky though. Watching it on the computer was not the best way to see it.

Susan called from Pennsylvania from Wade’s cellphone. I checked on some stocks for them and tried to get her registered for school. My current theory on tonight is that I will NOT go to the party.

Well, i think the plan is no cookout due to the weather but i am going to make courtney take me out to dinner in town.I feel that after two weeks of being inside, i can chance an hour in the real world:athens. madeline thinks I should go out and as y’all know, i do whatever my 14-year old advisor in the ways of the world tells me to do, That and I do what pleases the ghost dog.

Speaking of dogs, i will have y’all know that I actually let chancey into the bed during the thunderstorm as my mother requested. now it smells like dog in here and Michelle, my former roomie/attorney, is on her way over. Great.

The new medicine is pretty OK. I am only taking half of what I was taking before and everything seems cool. I will occasionally have some muscle spasms which jerk my ankle up. Those hurt a lot.

My grandfolks weren’t very happy when I told them I was going out. Great, now I am sneezing thanks to chancey. how annoying. i’ll have to change clothes soon i guess. oh well. more after dinner.

Well, dinner was good. Michelle and Courtney took me to DaVinci’s. It was pretty good. It was more food than I have eaten in a long time. Now Michelle is reading us astrology. Very interesting.

My mom is telling the story of the ghost dog. Also, she says that HGTV just called about doing a two minute spot on her “garage sale diniing room”. More later. My astro chart says that I have near hypnotic powers. Come to, Butthead…

If not for this website, I would have completely lost track of time. At some point today, I get to downgrade to a less powerful painkiller. Watch the web to see any bad effects. I believe that Courtney is the lucky winner of the Check On Chip for noon today. Don’t fret though, next week is wide open! I am actually telecommuting this morning for the first time since the accident. It’a actually a very nice way to work. I might have to look into this for the future.

I think that our server was down for a bit this morning. Sorry if y’all couldn’t see my leg. Sorry that I am not real talkative today.

Courtney and I were sitting here watching TV during lunch and I realized that all the commercials on TV during the day are aimed at people like me sitting home and not working due to some sort of disability. Luckily, I am still getting paid so I don’t have to worry about any of that.

Anybody out there want to be my new housemate?

Well, I watched “All the Fine Young Cannibals” on TCM and I have tuned into ZDTV for the evening. I didn’t take my medicine for most of the day because as many of you know, I hate taking medicine. It wasn’t so so bad but it was a bit more painful than other days. I took half of what I normally take about an hour ago and I have to say I do feel a bit better.

I am invited to a party in Madison tomorrow night. I wouldn’t even think about going other than the fact that it will be over two weeks tomorrow since I have been out ANYWHERE. And I can probably get lots of sympathy if I go. If I can get someone to drive me and then drive me back when the pain starts, then I’ll go. Otherwise, I’ll spend another night with my friends, TV and Computer.

It looks to be another promising day on Beechwood Drive. I don’t really have anything left to tell you people. I did have a dream last night that a bunch of people got mad at me for leaving them off of the website. I think that I have been pretty good at documenting everything so I’m not really sure where that came from. For those of you not in the know, you can read the archive of all these articles by clicking the linksie over on the left that says Tales of Chip and News Archive.

I added a guest book but decided to use one of the free sites instead of getting one working on here. Thanks to Madie for pointing me in the right direction.

So, i just heard that one of the Two Fat Ladies from the cooking show died recently. That’s too bad because any show where the cooks drive around on motorcycles and smoke while cooking is pretty good in my book.

It has been a very busy morning in bed. I got an email from Patty, Mark’s wife (Mark being my boss) saying that everything at school was down network-wise. I poked around as best I could from this end and didn’t get very far because, well, the network there is down. I got as far as one of my my Linux boxes and couldn’t get past it. I called on the phone and apparently there is no traffic passinG at all. I wish them all the best of luck as I take another pain pill and watch Eastenders.

In other morning news. I did some research on what Stephanie’s dad needs to upgrade his laptop and e’d that stuff off to her. I am busy reading up on various computery things trying to better myself and all of that.

For those of you keeping track, there has been a change in today’s lunch. Sara has been moved to Friday and Cash will be doing the noon time Chip Check. For him to bring me my lunch he required that I make a web page for my order. It is here.

No one has sent me this, why???

Apparently Cash can’t read but what he brought was good. Kate is over here now and it is about time for Passions!

I just found out that Kate has never had banana pudding. How have I lived with this person for three years and not known this before now. What a freak! I just got a letter from Annie in Chicago with a very good idea for the future of this site. More details soon.

I am happy to report that the school is back up and running. The problem was a new hub in the remodeled computer center. I guess they can get along without me.

Well, I took the aircast off for the first time tonight. Pictures will be posted over in the Daily Multimedia Gallery. Steph and Courtney may be coming over tonight to witness the new freshly showered Chip. I got the for the ambulance ride today. $483.00 !!!! I’m glad that I don’t have to pay it.

I would to say hey to all my new fans at Delta and will gladly take any tickets you want to throw my way when I recover.

Well, it certainly hurts more without the big cast. I wasn.t actually counting on that. Todat y Mom starts back to school so I will be alone at home. Steph has lunch duty today, Sara tomorrow, Courtney Thursday.

I made it through the night without the ghost dog getting me.

Susan called last niight from Nova Scotia. She probably thinks the column is about her.

For those of you checking up on me, Mom has been gone for an hour and there have been no major accidents. I’m having a loud rock&roll party but we’ll get it all cleaned up. I have even gotten out of bed TWICE by myself. I feel like such a big boy. I might have to go out for a jog later. Or put on the Moon Shoes, Kate is always talking about.

My grandmother just came by to check on me and to bring me banannas and cheese chex mix and to be sure that I had not fallen and could not get up. I have been talking on the phone, chatting on AIM, and looking up stuff for people on the web. My Georgia Lee from Zim’s should be here about noon, Yummy!

“I still don’t know what it is and I ate it”, said Stephanie.

The afternoon hqas been filled with joy and excitement. Kate and Steph and I watched Passions. Theresa dressed up as this ugly duckling so Ethan wouldn’t recognize her. Poor Theresa. Grandparents and my grandmother’s aunt and uncle showed up bearing banana pudding. Yummers. Rachel, the fake daughter of Holly and myself, came over for a visit on her way to the gym. She has decided to come back to the Academy next year which I think is a good thing.

Technically, I have spent the afternoon figuring out how DNS records work by registering the name chippernet.net and using the Public DNS Server. I’m going to use this for my home computers since it is such a pain to use the Athenstown name for home stuff since we moved to Interland.

Cash and I may work on Samba a bit or i might actually try and go to sleep at a normal hour. But who knows what the rest of the day may hold…

It holds pain. I made the mistake of saying I would eat the kitchen table. We ate Varsity which kind of made me feel ill anyway plus the leg being down all contributed to me popping a couple of pills and waiting for them to kick in.
